Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office - Cleveland, OH Reports To: Unit Supervisor Salary: $24,272.85 $26,702.00 The purpose of this classification is to receive, prepare, separate by type and scan sets of document originals to be reproduced as hardcopies or for uploading into a database; saves soft copies on computer storage media in order to be more efficiently accessed by appropriate personnel. This position reports to Supervisor of Accounts Receivable & Third Party Billings (Revenue Cycle). Summary of Responsibilities and Duties: This position will have responsibility for: Assuring timely payment and collection of billings from various commercial and private payors. Research and follow-up secondary Medicare Part A and Part B claims Research and follow-up after insurance co-payments and deductibles Research and follow-up primary and secondary physician claims Other duties as assigned by supervisors including billing and accounts receivable analysis. Requirements A minimum of one to three years of prior accounting or healthcare claims processing experience. Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting, plus. Knowledge of long term care Medicare reimbursement systems and insurance billing systems, a plus. Knowledge and experience in using automated financial and billing systems. Experience in using Microsoft Office a plus. Effectively plans, prioritizes and performs areas of responsibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
