I Bought a Shorkie at a Pet store the Pet Cottage and on the papers it said the shorkie came from Lutricia Collins & Bill Collins from Eagleville MO there are on the list above. when my dog was 1 yr and 11 months he died... I took him to the emergency room the night that he was acting strange and you could tell he was sick he was diagnosed with a bunch of things and died that night... I love shorkies so please if you know of any good shorkie breeders please send me some information. I dont know if this happend because of the breeder but as of now thats the only thing i can think of because that dog was at the pet store for only a month before i bought it.

She is a beautiful, sweet little dog and in excellent health! She gets hairy really fast (dreadlocks almost) We are on the Jersey shore and she swims it's funny! Anyway, a cute little thing and happy addition to our family we also have a grouchy old shiba-inu but they have grown 2 love each other thanks! : )

Do not buy puppies from the breeder listed above Margaret Friedrichs, 928 6th Road, Herkimer, KS. She sells her dogs to brokers who in turn sells them to pet shops. She is also affiliated with Backporch Farms and Megabrooke Farm also located in Herkimer, KS. These people are puppy farmers and will sell you a sick dog. Do not buy dogs from the Friedrichs!

Please do your research on the above kennels. Lissa Horning and relatives in New York are selling dogs that are not healthy. Do NOT purchase a puppy from a pet shop-you will find a hereditary defect, like I did, and will cost you thousands. They are OVER BREEDING the poor females. Most of the above names are puppy mills- DO YOUR RESEARCH and purchase from a personal breeder where you can visit their home and meet the mom and dad. That is the ONLY way you will know you have a healthy puppy that was breeded with love and not cruelty.

I purchas a boxer from The Pet Shop in Easton, Pa on 9/27/07. The breeder is Carleen Berntsen. The night I brought him home, he was coughing and has diarhea and a runny nose. I called the vet recommended by the pet shop Saturday morning and he couldn't see hem until Monday, by Sunday he was so sick I tooke to the emergency hospital where he was diagnosed with advanced kennel cough,parasites,staf infection and worms. He was put on antibotics for two weeks and the vet informed us not to consider breeding him because he was on inferior quality. After being on antibotics for two weeks he then devopled a urniary problem, and had to be on antibotics for four more weeks. At the present time he is in good health. My boxer was born on July 4,2007 at the Carleen M Berntsen Kennels in La Harpe, Kansas. He has a severe underbite, his right eye doops and he is very small. Considering I paid $1199.99 for this dag I feel this kennel need to be investigated to see if they are running a puppy mill and selling inferior animals. Thank You
