ALEUT CORPORATION ANNOUNCES NEW LEASE FOR ADAK SEAFOOD PROCESSING PLANT

Anchorage, Alaska September 20, 2013 The Aleut Corporation today announced that its subsidiary, Aleut Fisheries, LLC (AF) has entered into a twenty-year Lease Agreement with Adak Cod Cooperative, LLC (ACC) to operate its Adak, AK seafood processing facility. The lease includes the structure containing the processing equipment, lay-down space, 38 housing units, dock frontage and fueling services. Were excited to welcome an experienced player in the Alaska fishing industry to Adak, said Aleut Enterprise President Rudy Tsukada. There has been a lot of interest in the plant since the most recent operator departed. We believe ACCs proposal represents the best long-term value for our shareholders and community stakeholders. Said John Lowrance, President of ACC, Joe Kelso and I are pleased to be partnering with AF, the City of Adak, and the local fishing fleet to grow the operation of the Adak facility, starting with next years pacific cod A season. Our proven business model that specializes in high value seafood products is well-suited to the Adak facility.
