Love is by which we’d be known as disciplesof Jesus Christ! Nowadays, words are used as just a way of getting by. It’s so easy to say tosomeone “I love you”. But as I ponder aboutlove, what love really is. Jesus teaches us thatLove is patient; love is kind and all that. ButGod is patient and kind because he is love, arewe to be patient and kind? Because we are notlove! I believe Jesus wants us to be likehimself, if he is love then he wants us to belove too.As I ponder about life my mindkeeps going back to a little boy I met inMandalay Train Station, its his home, hisworkplace and it’s his life. Hewas collecting water bottlesfrom us. By the way, westayed in Train Station for one

night and two days because it was so expensivefor us to get into hotels. I was leading a teamof 40+ young people to Myitkyina to partner with Assemblies of God to hold Youth Camp.We were short with some fund so we stayed intrain station, sleeping on anywhere we foundfit. So there, I met this young little boy of about 12 years old but hes been in thisMandalay Train station all his life. One night he was sleeping right beside us. I approached him and inquiredwhere he was from. He told me, “I am from avillage little far from here. When I was about 5years old my mom and dad separated and Ilived with my grand parents. When I grew upabout 8 years old, I was sent to work in teashopand it was so hard for me. Our boss scolded useveryday. I was crying always. And one day Idecided to run away from it. Then I got on thetrain not knowing where to go though I was onthe train already. I slipped from there to here toavoid those who checked tickets because Ididn’t have ticket. Then I ended up in thisMandalay train station. I got so hungry and Iknew nothing to do and I had no money. As Iwatched some of the young boys at my agewho were collecting thrown bottles and theysold them. So I started doing that since then” Iwas so interested in his story and I was sorryfor him at the same time. So I asked him if he’d had dinner. And he told me, “Tonight, I

had great dinner. From the empty bottles Icollected from you guys, I bought a greatdinner”. I was happy a little though that wegave him empty bottles. I offered him dinner if he was hungry. He said, “No I am not hungryanymore”. I asked him again if he eat regularly. He said, “when I don’t find much empty bottles enough to buy dinner then I would goout to town at look for those thrown foods” hecontinues saying, “you know some people arevery kind to us that they will hang theileftovers food at the gate or fence andsometimes I ate great ones. But sometimes it’svery smelly already but because of my hunger I have to eat it anyway.I continued to ask him if he’dhad some troubles being there at the stationand answered me, “When I first got here, though I collected lots of bottles because Iworked hard. I would not rest all day. But atthe end of the day when I sold them, some of the boys who were ahead of me here beat meand took my money away. Those night I wenthungry. I cried. I wanted to go back to mygrand parents but I go no money, I don’t evenknow how to go back anymore. So kept onstaying and some boys that I met later were alittle kind to me and I associated with them. After a few weeks, we fought here all the timewith the other groups. So now they are nottreating me anymore like before because I am
