Prime Minister Hun Sen delivered a chal-lenge to UNDP, asking them to help identiy innovative policy responses to key developmentchallenges. The IFA initiative was created to undertake critical and timely policy research and to acilitatepolicy dialogue among the Cambodian Government, Cambodian society and Cambodia’s de-velopment partners.

IFA generates valuable new knowledge and insights in several critical areas through well-targeted research in collaboration with various Government Ministries and the SupremeNational Economic Council (SNEC), a cross-ministerial advisory committee that reportsdirectly to the Prime Minister.

IFA has also developed a range o knowledge sharing activities and modalities, includingthe annual Cambodia Economic Forum (CEF), media conerences, website development, and a series o Insights or Action publications.
3. Knwledge nt actn:
In addition to the two main components, IFA also contributes to the urther develop-ment o national capacity, especially among researchers and policy makers, so that theywill gain rom both “learning by doing” during the applied research process, as well asbenetting rom a transer o valuable inormation and knowledge generated by thisinitiative.
