Since forming in March 2011, Calcutta, India
s Ifs and Buts have gone on to become an excitingacoustic duo that has played all around the city. What began as an Open Mic project slowly startedgrowing after they won the Calcutta leg of the Autumn Music Festival organized by The AmericanCenter. Coming Runner

consisted of fivetracks and the artwork was sketched out by an indie artist, Suparna Lala. It turned out to be the firstof many EP
s to come out from the Calcutta music scene in 2012.

Riding the success of their EP, Ifs and Buts continued gigging, and now have their eyes set on adebut album titled
You’re A Story
; besides taking their music to a national level. Recently, the duoplayed their first gig with a bassist and drummer as part of their set. It worked out great and nowthey have new options to explore. Only time will tell whether that becomes a permanent fixture ornot, one thing is certain: Ifs and Buts will continue to work on new material and have fun at theirshows.
