9.Madam,Sub: Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009 – Fixation of pay relating to Government employees inthe Pay Band-3 and drawing pay in the scale of pay ofRs.15600—39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600/- andabove clarification – Regarding.Ref: 1. G.O.Ms.No.234, Finance (PC) Department, dated:1-6-2009.2. Your Letter.No.PAO (Sectt) / BAS-I / U.II / 885 / 2009, dated: 8-6-2009.******I am to invite your attention to the references cited.2. The Pay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat) in the reference second citedhas brought to the notice of Government that if the regulation of pay and allowanceswith reference to Tamil Nadu Revised Scales of Pay Rules 2009 has to be fixed bythe Head of Offices with reference to the orders issued in the Government Ordercited, the pay drawn particulars in respect of Self Drawing Officers has to beobtained by the Head of office from the Pay and Accounts Offices / AccountantGeneral’s office as the case may be. consequently there will be considerable delayin fixing the pay of the Self drawing Officers. Hence in order to avoid such delay,she has requested to issue necessary instructions to fix the pay of the self-drawingofficers (drawing their pay in Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 and above) bythe Pay and Accounts Offices / Accountant General.3. Considering the difficulty pointed out in fixing the pay of the Self-DrawingOfficers by Head of the Offices, I am directed to inform that as pointed out by thePay and Accounts Officer (Secretariat), the pay of the Self-Drawing Officer (drawingtheir pay in Pay Band-3 with Grade Pay of Rs.7600 and above) under Tamil NaduRevised Scales of Pay Rules, 2009 shall be fixed by the Pay and Accounts Officers / Treasury Officers / Sub-Treasury Officers / Accountant General as the case may bewithout reference to para 3(e) of the Government Order cited.
