Ants will be all over the place; especially during summertime. They just lovesummer! Whether it’s your kitchen counter, dining table, garden or lawn, therewill be ants marching in a straight line or spread around and messing up thewhole place.When you see this mess the first thing that comes to mind is to spray pesticideson them and kill ants. But do you know pesticides can be very harmful to humansand animals. If you are using them in your house, say on the kitchen counter, youare at a risk of exposing your food to harmful chemicals.You don’t want to risk your family’s health by using pesticides to kill ants. Also if you use pesticides on the ground, say your garden or lawn, you will becontaminating ground water and wells. And you end up drinking that same water.So what is a more benign way to kill ants? Using biodegradable materials will killants and will ensure safety to your surroundings and family’s health.There are many safe ways to kill ants and leave your house ant free.• Spread baby powder and pepper powder on the ant trail. The ants will die whenthen come in contact with the powder. Fill up the hole with these powders too toprevent ants from coming out and messing up the place.• If you have an ant hill in your garden or backyard you can kill them by pouringtobacco water on them. You need to soak tobacco in water overnight then drainthe water. Use this water to pour over ant hills.• Make a highly concentrated soap water mixture and put them in a spray bottle.Spray this mixture on ants. Also fill up the ant holes with soap water. This will killthem instantly.• You can pour boiling water on the ants. They will die at once.
