• This circuit switches “on” the
motor pump when water in the
overhead tank falls below the lowest
level and turns it “off" when the tank
is full.

• If , the pump is running dry it

sounds an alarm to alert to switch off
the motor.

Water at lower level:
• All electrodes are separated

• Output of Ic (pin 3) goes low

• T1 cut off,T2 on and energises relay

Water at upper level:

• Electrode E3 touches E2

• Output of Ic (pin 3) goes high

• T1 on,T2 off and de-energises relay

Motor runs dry:
• Electrode A and B separated

• T3 cut off,T4 turn on and activates

the buzzer
