Case B

files for the past six months. She asks Alex to prepare a report summarizing the most popular
menu items at those events. She tells Alex where to find the files. Alex is worried about this
assignment because he has not prepared this type of report before.

Case C
Ann and Franklin are salespeople for the Ginger Tea Company. They are having a monthly
sales meeting with Kimberlee Shapiro, the manager. Ann and Franklin are meeting with
Kimberlee to discuss how many sales calls they have made. Ann tells Kimberlee about the
number of calls and sales she has made. She says she feels good about her work. She hopes
to finish her calls this week. Franklin tells a long story about an unpleasant customer. He talks
about the different brands of teas and why people do not want to buy them. He looks through
his notes to find out how many calls he has made.
