PAMA is a very large mining company in Indonesia. Syntek Engine Boost 2.0 is used inall company owned HD 785-5 Engines. The normal maintenance cycle required priorto engine re-manuacturing occurred previously at 15,000 hours or 900,000 miles.This maintenance included replacing cylinder liners with new, expensive liners.Ater years o using Syntek Engine Boost 2.0 the regular maintenance schedule waschanged rom 15,000 hours to 25,000 hours beore the total reconstruction o theengine was required. Using Syntek Engine Boost 2.0 has kept the cylinder linerswithin nearly identical tolerances o new liners. Enclosed are inspection reportsshowing measurements o a new liner and a liner with 14,887 hours o run time.Tolerances are within ‘new’ specifcations. This, along with the cleanliness o theengine, has saved PAMA millions o dollars in maintenance expenses.
