TORRANCE COUNTY COMMUNITY HEALTH PROFILE

The purpose of a Community Health Profile is to provide an accurate and complete picture of acommunity’s health. The profile includes both quantitative and qualitative data, as well as a local analysisand interpretation of that data. It is a comprehensive compilation of information—both data alreadycollected and published and information collected by the organizations and individuals creating the profile. The Community Health Profile is a critical first step in identifying community health needs and problems, which then serve as the basis for establishing priorities in the Community Health Improvement Plan.
