Hello L\u00caP High Community,

I hope that everyone is having a good summer and enjoying the beautiful weather. L\u00caP staff
have been working hard to hire new staff and plan for next year; we are also working to catch up
on fund-raising and recruitment stalled by our long charter renewal process and challenging
economic times.

I am urging L\u00caP family members to help in these efforts, because we are so far behind and the future of the school depends upon this involvement. Please read carefully to find the best way for you and your family to help.

Next Development / Fundraising Meeting \u2013 July 7th @ 5:30PM
(offsite potluck)
Because our latest Development meeting last Tuesday evening was not well attended as we
hoped, we are aiming to bring more people to a meeting that includes a potluck and leisure. It is
extremely important that families and our community work now, during the quiet times, to
prevent another financial crisis from happening this next school year.
Date & Time: July 7th 5:30PM dinner, 6-7PM meeting

There are picnic benches and a swimming pool. People are welcome to stay afterwards.
She will supply the burgers and vegetarian options, but I want to encourage people to bring
drinks, side-dishes, and desserts to share.

IMMEDIATE PRIORITIES:
Student Recruitment \u2013 Our budget for next year assumes 315 student enrollment. We

currently have 290 students and need to build our waitlist. Please announce our school to friends
and community groups (churches, clubs, etc.). I\u2019ve included a two page summary for quick
talking points about our school. Our website is also good for people to learn more information
