These instructions will enable you to get your
Axis IP camera
set up with your EyeSpy247 account to enable monitoring, recording and alerts. We suggest you getthe basics working using this guide and then fine tune camera and EyeSpy247functions later.
TIP:
We suggest you use one browser window for setting up the camera and openanother browser window (or tab) for your EyeSpy247 account panel. Having theseside by side will make it easier for you to set up and test.1) Sign up for your Free EyeSpy247 account atwww.eyespy247.com2) Set up your IP camera as per the instructions set out in the manufacturersmanual remembering to make
careful note of the login details for the camera
as you will need these later. You should also at this point have at hand the fixed IP address (if you have one)provided by your ISP or if you have a dynamic IP address set up a Hostname withthe DDNS provided recommended Axis (see the Axis manual for details).
EITHER OF THESE IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HAVE!

3)Now login to your EyeSpy247 account and click on
Camera Management
andthen click
add
under Camera Servers to add the camera to your account.4)Complete all the fields ensuring very close attention is placed on entering the
Hostname*
and
Port
number (the default port for Axis is normally 80). If you getthese wrong our systems will not be able to connect to your camera.
*The
Hostname
will either be a fixed IP address (check with your ISP) or if you have adynamic IP address you should set up a Hostname (e.g. John.dyndns.org) using the DDNS service recommended by the camera (see the Axis manual for details).

5)When you are ready click
Save and Test
. In a few seconds the page should returna test image from your camera to confirm successful set up.
If when you save and test the camera settings the test image does not appear it may wellbe that you will need to do one or both of the following on the Axis camera settings and/or your router.a) Make the camera is visible from the outside world. Do this from
Setup > System Options> Network > TCP/IP > Advanced
. From here go to
NAT traversal (port mapping)
for IPv4,
enable
, then
Save
! When you do this a url (e.g. http://91.192.143.75:1025) will be assignedwith an auto selected port number or one specified by you (see below).b) check to see that the port forwarding has been set up correctly on your router - we havefound that some routers do not seem to pick up the port settings for this camera automaticallyand you will need to manually add this to your router. Please refer to your router manual for instructions.
