Well chosen and well organized equipment makes
covering
a wedding much
easier.
The fast pace and oftenchanging environment makes having the right gear
available
at the right time
very
important. (TriCoast Photography image)
The highest level of
service,
but with a somewhat higher price tag, comesfrom
specialty
camera
stores
that cater to the
professional
trade. The really goodones have trained
salesmen
who know both their products and what the
serious
shoot- ers tend to buy. My favorite is
Showcase
Photographic in
Atlanta. I’ve
known the owners for
over
30 years, and their staff
always
comes through.Recently I was shopping for a camera
backpack
for an
assignment
in Europe, two days before the trip. The
salesman
asked what I was going to pack, thenactually loaded prospec- tive bags with matching gear, and then called mewith the resulting product choices and prices. The bag arrived the nextmorning, a perfect fit.
