The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected one mans life and family. THE FREEDOM FOUNDATION is based out of Selma, AL; the heart of the Civil Rights Movement. The foundation is committed to carrying on the dream of Dr. Kings inspired beloved community. The foundation has high aspirations of renovating a 36,000 square foot building in downtown Selma, just steps from the famous Edmond Pettus Bridge, where Bloody Sunday took place. The building will be a youth training and

development center, arts venue and will house an international institute for Kingian nonviolence training. Civil Rights leader and icon, Dr. Bernard Lafayette, is working to build the institute which will be a symbol of overcoming oppression through Dr. Kings principles of non-violnce.
