Review via Email: “Having read some more of the novel I find your skill at writing from a woman's standpoint - well a girl in the case of Julianna - very perceptive. Also, as somebody who loves France and used to speak fluent French - bit rusty now, but it comes back - I liked your little French sayings and references scattered here and there. I cant think of any valid criticism, really and as I said before, I am not really good at analysis. I can merely say what I like, and so far there is nothing I dislike. You are obviously a skilled and sensitive writer who knows well what he is about. As the old song goes "Everybody loves a lover" and I do hope there will be a positive outcome for the this particular pair. I had a sense of foreboding the way Julianna almost threatened him about her eventual absence - would it be through suicide? incurable illness? or just doing a disappearing act. I presume all will be revealed eventually. I really liked the way Scott first appeared in his broken-down car - a metaphor, perhaps for their future relationship, and the way Julianna took charge of it and him. There was a lovely sentence (when she first kissed him) about her fingers making "a five-pointed star in watch over him" - could be a line in a poem. Indeed, many of your images are very poetic.” Honor (Ireland)

Review via Email: “I love the way you have [your story] set out. I like being given that little bit extra on the characters, and I think you have done that well. You have a lovely way with words. Your descriptions of the characters and the scenery is both creative and striking. I would love to read more of it. I was really disappointed when I got to the end of the piece you had given me. I wanted to know more.” Lisa (Cavan)

Review via Email: “I really liked the book! It's definitely one I would want to read more of. I printed it off and got to the last page and really hoped there was more of it left to print! I enjoyed the plot itself and the time switches. I forwarded it on to a few people and I can pass on your email too so they can give you their feedback but I really enjoyed it. Brilliantly written. Thanks for letting me read it, Gráinne. (Dublin)

Review via Email: “I was impressed by the writing, the story and the structure. I felt that as a reader I was being challenged here and there and I like that. I liked the Red Journal extract and I wondered if there are going to be more extracts later. I think there should be. A journal is a great way of seeing into a character’s thoughts at a particular time. Also because it’s a journal it can be written in various styles, offhand, confused, off the cuff etc.” Michael (Meath)
