Twenty five ago I with my daughter Bobby (Bhavana) who was 5 years then left for Shirdion Thursday at 5 am in our Ambassador car. We reached Shirdi at 2.30 am went to hotel, had bath and left for Sai Samadhi Mandir for 6.30 pm SaiDhoop Arti. After the Aarti I took my daughter out in the market to buy her some toys which she had asked for. While wewere walking behind the street of Samadhi Mandir, she stood next to the shop gazing, refused to move ahead, I asked her what was she looking at. Without any hesitation she said Baa…baa. I was shocked, as she had never uttered that wordany time before. I explained her not to buy Sai Murti as it may break on falling, as I knew that the same is made of Plaster of Paris. I showed her Sai Murti made of white metal but she refused to change her mind and sat on the ground cryingasking for the same Sai Murti, which she eyed for before. I do not know what she saw in that Sai Murti. What was in thatSai Murtithat she refused to change her mind? I gave up to her and bought the same for Rs.75.I again took her with the Sai Murti in Sai Samadhi Mandir gave to the Pujari to touch the Samadhi. He put a small garlandon the Sai Murti, gave me, and blessed my daughter Bobby. We came out of the Mandir made Bobby to sit with Sai Murtion a small wall and told her that I will be back in a few minutes after calling her mother to tell her about our safe reach.While I was returning, I saw long queue of Sai Devotees facing towards Bobby. She was plucking a flower from thegarland of SAI Murti and giving to the Sai Devotee. I stood there little far away watching my daughter, giving the flower toevery devotee. There was only one flower left in the garland and while trying to pluck from the garland, flower gotentangled with the thread and the Sai Murti fell on the ground on the face. I ran towards her picked the Sai Murti, gotdeeply hurt to see the nose of Sai Murti broken. I was furious, lost my cool, and beat Bobby very badly. She cried and Iwent on beating her. I returned to the same shop and bought a similar Sai Murti and asked for both the Sai Murtis bepacked separately in two different corrugated boxes to avoid rubbing with each other and breaking. The shopkeeper suggested me not to take a broken (Khandit) murti as it is inauspicious to take home. I replied that I will immerse theKhandit Sai Murti in the Sea and I kept both the boxes on the back seat of my car and very carefully brought it home.My wife Seema was very anxious to see the SAI MURTI. I narrated the entire episode to her when she asked me abouttwo separate boxes. I opened one Box and saw the Sai Murti left side nose broken. I then opened the other box, wasshocked to see the nose of this SAI Murti too was broken from the left side. I lost my mental balance and fell on the sofawith tears flowing from my eyes, wondering, questioning myself. When the other Sai Murti I brought it so safely and didnot fall anywhere how come the left side of nose of the other Sai Murti broke both looking the same making it difficult toknow as to which Sai Murti got broke by Bobby and which broke after.I was very depressed, restless, sad, crying, talking to my Sai in my mind as to why He does not want to be in my house.Have I committed any mistake by bringing the first Khandit Murti to my house?I was trying hard to sleep, but was very restless. At midnight I heard some one calling me MANU……. I saw Sai besidesme asking me as to why I beat my daughter mercilessly. My body became numb; I became dumb and had no answer andno courage to open my mouth in front of my Sai. Sai then said, it was he who made the Murti to break in the sameposition as of the first Murti to see what punishment I give to myself on the breaking of my other Murti. Sai then again saidthat you worship me daily; you do my Parayandaily, have you understood my preaching in your mind and heart and said Ishould not repeat again.Sai said children are like flowers and he loves them, and then ordered me to keep both HIS Murtis in my Mandir as theyare preeya to HIM and disappeared.Next day, my only sister Renu Arjan Shivdasani staunch Sai devotee took one Sai Murti to her house and made Sai to sitin her Mandir. I too did the same. I still have the same Murthi from last 25 years and I worship every day and night. Isometimes in distress ask my Sai the solution to my problems by keeping my chits in front of my Sai and He guides me. Inever do anything without asking my Sai. There are many Sai Bhakts telling me to ask Sai of their problems. Every time Ihave asked Sai, it has come true.When any one of the family member fractures his any part of his limb, we rush him to the hospital getting him well, bringhim home, but if any one of our family member breathes his last he becomes Khandit and only then taken to thecrematorium.Therefore, if any part of Murti of God breaks it does not become Khandit.
