The end o July marks
the frst yearanniversary o Andy Wilson as our ExecutiveLeader o the Ministry and Operations.
Andy has done a tremendous job learning theministry and then immediately leadingthe ministry into growth. I’m thankulor his and Becky’s commitment to Christand their love or our church, and we praythat God will give them many years withus in this position o leadership. Andy,please know we love you and appreciateeverything you do or our church.Speaking o investing in people, anotherone o our young men just graduatedas the leading graduate in his schoolat Liberty University.
Brad Mayes, theson o Ben and Sue Mayes, receivedthe Academic Achievement Awardin Intercultural Studies at LibertyUniversity.
He is going to continue hisseminary education and move orward inpursuing God’s call to his lie. Brad is a brilliant young man witha tremendous uture. Let’s pray or God to use him to changethe world.Investing in people is exactly what this summer has been abouton both o our campuses. We have seen people come to Christ,we have seen people’s lives changed, and we have seen Goddo some amazing things, like 117 people baptized at the ooto the crosses! I cannot wait to hear the stories that are still yetto be told or all that goes on in the rest o our summer. Whenyou invest in people, you send the entire ministry to a new level.One o the greatest ways to invest in people is to invest in ourchurch fnancially. When you make fnancial investments into thisministry through the giving o the tithes and oerings, it enablesus to touch people’s lives and to be used by God in a signifcantway.
Please be aithul, weekly, in the giving o the tithesand oerings.
We need your assistance to reach our SummerProgram o Giving goal and without your git, regardless o howsmall or large it may be, ministry will not take place. We needsmall gits, we need medium-sized gits, and we need large gits.Most o all, we just simply need you to obey God and give thefrst tenth o all God has given you just like His word describes it.I am thankul or so many amilies in our church that continuallydo this.Just one other note concerning investingin people,
Andrew Miller let on July 1o this year to spend two years as a Journeyman with the InternationalMission Board in the country o Japan.
We commissioned Andrew on June 21and what a great moment it was. I am soproud o this young man; he comes roma tremendous amily in our church andnow has the opportunity or two years to change the world. Thisis another reason our fnancial gits are so important, becausewithout our church giving, it would not be possible or this youngman to join the International Mission Board to do what he hasbeen called to do or these two years. We must give more and wemust do everything we can to help lead other churches in a greatcommission resurgence.May the Lord bless you and give you a great summer. Let’scontinue strong.
