These are some solutions to other common problem with running Windows Aero:How to determine i a computer is able to run Windows Aero.Ensure that the selected edition o Windows Vista can run Aero To determine which edition o Windows Vista is on a computer, do the ollowing:Open the Welcome Center by clicking the
Start
button.

Click Control Panel.

Click System and Maintenance.
n
Click Welcome Center. The edition o Windows Vista is displayed along with the computer details nearthe top o the window.I the correct edition o Windows Vista is installed, but the system is unableto run Aero:Ensure the computer meets the minimum hardware requirements orrunning Aero:

1 gigahertz (GHz) 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
n
1 gigabyte (GB) o random access memory (RAM)
n
128 megabyte (MB) graphics cardAero also requires a DirectX 9 class graphics processor that supports theWindows Display Driver Model Driver, hardware Pixel Shader 2.0, and 32-bitcolor per pixel.For the best results, ollow these graphics processor recommendations:
n
64 MB o graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolutionthat is less than 1,310,720 pixels (or example, a 17–inch fat panel LCDmonitor that has a 1280 × 1024 resolution)

. I you can’t select 32 bit color, ensure that the screen resolu-tion is at the highest possible setting and try again. To set the monitor reresh rate: Select
Display Settings

Advanced Settings
. Open the
Monitor
tab and then change the reresh rateto a setting higher than 10 hertz. Click
Apply
. The monitor will then adjust,ollowed by a message asking i you would like to keep your changes. Click
Yes
. I you do not respond to this message within 15 seconds, the reresh ratewill revert to its previous setting. Click
OK
(changes to the reresh rate aectall users on the computer).
