In with my dad's things I found 2 'The Bandmaster's in red plastic boxes, with 2 Charles E. Maley teaches you HOW TO PLAY THE HARMONICA, all in a plastic bag. They are in very, very good condition - very shiny. Made in the German Democratic Republic Registered Trademark on the harmonica. Are these worth anything?

I have a Navy Harp Trio Concert by F.A. Rauner, in box, identical to the one on page 354. I picked it up at an estate sale and don't know anything about it... can you give me some info about it? Email arden61_2002@yahoo.com

"DRWZ 6082 was issued to Fischer in 1895" - Just got handed one of these tonight. I believe it to belong to the blue box (3rd pic from the top) of Moulin Rouge. Can you tell me about it? Is it something very rare? I am a guitarist and blew into it & it sounded glorious. Thanx, Sean

http://www.echoshine.com/images/harp/... The side with rust on the ends is the side that was played on I suppose. Sorry about the 3meg picture. I'll try to resize it later. Thanks for your talk :)

ok tremolo has 2 reeds per note. I have 20 notes I guess as there is a total of 40 holes per side. So I'm guessing yours has 4 more notes? as I can't imagine yours has 96 :D. I'll try to get a picture up soon and show ya. Sean

John Whiteman replied:

Since the harp is double sided, the cover-plate holes are necessary to vent the reeds. The larger the harmonica, the more holes. My 4-holers have 48 reeds on each side. Your 2-holer probably has 16 or 20 reeds per side. No idea of the quantity made. get rid of moth ball smell by blowing cigarette smoke into harp.

That sounds accurate & love the sound (echo-y wavering sound). Plays on both sides. The holes on the metal up top are different than the ones pictured, yours are 4 per area and mine 2. I read something about copyright or maybe even an earlier batch? Have any idea how many were made? I love to play it but it taste & smells too much like moth balls at the moment lol.Box I pointed out matches engrav
