PREDICTIVE PROGRAMMING: Government weathermodification comes to NBC
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj5BjNmZQ5A

"If you control the weather, you control the world."
Coming to NBC July 26 and August 2, this supposedly "fictional" made-for-TV movie (titled 'TheStorm') explores government weather modification and its potential effect on weather patterns and thecreation of catastrophic weather events.-----------------------------SYNOPSISThe changeable forces of nature combine—in the air, on land, in the seas—as the world counts down itsfinal, catastrophic hours.Billionaire Robert Terrell (Golden Globe and Emmy nominee Treat Williams, Everwood) has fulfilled alifelong obsession and made history with "weather creation" technology though his AtmosphericResearch Institute. But during a test run, a blast of energy is sent into the ionosphere with unexpectedresults. The experiments hurtle the planet towards destruction—hurricanes change course, winds goinstantly from hot to cold, torrential rains bring regions to a standstill, and buildings crumble into ruinsunder explosive lightening storms. Its only the beginning.Only one scientist, Dr. Jonathan Kirk (James Van Der Beek, Dawson's Creek), steps forward to demandthat the system be terminated. Terrell is undeterred and continues to push his team to move forward. Hismotives for the initially philanthropic technology is in truth far more opportunistic. With governmentcohort, Army General Braxton (David James Elliott, JAG), Terrell envisions the technology as a keymilitary weapon to ensure super power status.Realizing hes powerless to stop the project by himself, Kirk contacts news reporter Danni Wilson (TeriPolo, Meet the Parents) with plans to expose Terrell and explain the catastrophic weather to a bewildered and frightened world. Its a task that wont come easy, as Kirk quickly discovers the motivesand loyalties of authorities are not in his favor. As devastating and extreme weather events hammer down on every corner of the Earth, it will be a race against time to shut down the system before the edgeof extinction.Featuring a cast of television favorites including Emmy Winner John Larroquette (Boston Legal), LukePerry (Beverly Hills, 90210) and Marisol Nichols (24), The Storm is the ultimate tale of man againstnature and an epic miniseries event posing a tantalizing and terrifying what-if scenario.THE STORM-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Methane Buildup Predicted

in Superstorm Book Confirmed

Scientists have discovered that the same massive release of methane into the atmosphere that causedsudden climate change 14,000 years ago has already started to happen again. At that time, there was a sudden, devastating change in earth’s climate. It took place when dramaticdrops in temperature followed an equally dramatic temperature spike. Naturally occurring globalwarming had been taking place for some time, when a massive release of methane into the atmospheresped the process up, causing a worldwide spike in temperatures. This caused a devastating acceleration in global warming, triggeringwarming processes that melted most of earth's polar ice and raised sealevels world-wide, engulfing coasts and drowning islands. Art Bell andWhitley Strieber, in their book the
Coming Global Superstorm
, identifiedthis methane release as one of the key triggers of the dramatic heating thatled to the subsequent climactic chaos that broke out during that period.
Santo Bains
of Oxford University’s Department of Earth Sciences led ateam of geologists through three years of research in the badlands of Wyoming. They also took samples from the ocean floors off Florida and Antarctica.

Their study confirms work by Russian, French and US scientists studying ancient air bubbles trappedin Greenland and Antarctic ice-cores. This data all show that global warming at the end of the last IceAge 14,000 years ago was also associated with a huge and very rapid increase of methane into theatmosphere.Methane retains far more heat in the atmosphere than does carbon dioxide. Large amounts of methaneare trapped in and below the permafrost in the Arctic. Also, sediments in sea beds worldwide containvast quantities of methane hydrates and trapped methane gas. Cold temperatures keep them stable, but permafrost melt is already beginning to release methane, and the hotter the arctic gets, the moremethane will enter the atmosphere. This is the same process that took place 14,000 years ago.In addition, as global warming raises sea levels, large areas of Siberian and other permafrost areas will be flooded, releasing yet more methane. Global warming will then become a self- feeding cycle, unstoppable by any form of human intervention. The major natural cause of massive methane escape comes from buried ocean reserves. Whenunderwater landslides expose previously buried gas-bearing sediments, pressure is reduced in aninstant and the gas escapes into the atmosphere.
