Estudio de Caso de innovacin y productividad La descripcin de una situacin inicial

Hace 13 aos el ecuatoriano Hctor Chvez Gndara inici un proceso de investigacin en el campo de la construccin de edificaciones (vivienda, escuelas, hospitales, etc.) para ofrecer una solucin constructiva innovadora, que reduzca sustancialmente el tiempo de construccin y los costos e inversiones asociados con este tipo de actividad. Es as que inventa el sistema de industrializacin de edificaciones tipo lego, denominndolo: MULTIESPACIO 2000 LA CASA QUE CRECE y lo patenta a nivel internacional. Los cambios en la estructura del pas empujan hacia una nueva tendencia industrial; hacia la globalizacin; hacia los avances en la tecnologa y la innovacin. La respuesta debe ser: eficiencia, innovacin y competitividad, para estar presentes en el mercado local y en otros mercados, para un mejor futuro del pas. En el desarrollo de vivienda y otros espacios de la edificacin, hay dos importantes desafos para aquellos que quieren construir con sistemas fabricados. El primero es el diseo de espacios modulados, racionalizados y estandarizados, preservando la apariencia tradicional; y, el segundo es, traer esa apariencia con sistemas de industrializacin de alta calidad, para responder a las necesidades y sicologa del concepto de hogar, creando espacios para una vivienda digna. La apariencia debe ser una fortaleza del sistema. El pas tiene que entrar en la vivienda industrializada, donde se cuide mucho la calidad y el rendimiento energtico, con diseos arquitectnicos bellamente concebidos y variados, funcionales y de precios asequibles.

La edificacin industrializada se est poniendo en el centro del escenario, necesita actualizarse y participar de mtodos nuevos que le permitan la realizacin de planes de vivienda principalmente, capaces de adaptarse de forma natural a la estandarizacin e industrializacin ejm : la produccin de vivienda fabricada es la realizacin por completo en fbrica de sus partes y piezas, y suministrada a la obra para ser montada. El kit de partes, como sistema, es capaz de proporcionar y adaptarse a un gran nmero de soluciones arquitectnicas, pues los procesos de produccin en serie se utilizan con ms acierto cuando permiten el desarrollo de la mxima variedad de diseos, con el mnimo nmero de partes. Industrialized housing Background The efficiency of industrialized building is a very important factor in the efficiency of many other related industries, but scattered, as in traditional construction-craft. The appearance should be strength of the system. The country has to enter the industrialized house where great care given to quality and energy efficiency, beautifully designed with architectural designs and varied, functional and affordable. The industrial building is being put on center stage, needs updating and participate in new methods that allow the implementation of housing schemes mainly able to adapt naturally to the standardization and industrialization i.e.: manufactured housing production is the full realization in factory of parts and pieces, and fed to the work place to be mounted. El sistema constructivo El valor de un sistema constructivo yace en las caractersticas de sus elementos, el nmero de ellos compatibles entre s dentro del sistema, las operaciones que

deben realizarse para su montaje, y la versatilidad del tipo de juntas. El montaje es rpido y fcil, con las ventajas que presenta un sistema de cimentacin apropiada de acuerdo a la tipologa de suelo donde va a ser instalada, la produccin en serie mediante la mano de obra local y la utilizacin de tcnicas y herramientas familiares. Todas estas ventajas, y en especial el ahorro de tiempo y dinero en el proceso de proyecto-presupuesto-contrato, favorecern la aparicin de nuevos sistemas y tecnologas de produccin y montaje. Se fabricarn ms soluciones habitacionales y otros usos, y estarn listas rpidamente. Hoy la construccin tradicional conlleva serios problemas econmicos y sociales, pues cada paso requiere de mano de obra experimentada cuando menos. En los sistemas industrializados, como Multiespacio 2000, esto se supera en alto porcentaje, sin dejar de crear ms empleos para mano de obra estable de fabricacin y mano de obra de montaje, e inclusive la promocin de la autogestin y la minga como accin social, sin desplazar a la construccin tradicional. El uso inconsciente de materiales, la desactualizacin de normas nacionales o regionales, la pobre imagen de la construccin fabricada, son algunos aspectos negativos que desdibujan la aceptacin racional de su uso inmediato. La innovacin El delicado problema de la innovacin es su aceptacin; es inventar soluciones que sean inmediatamente o casi inmediatamente competitivas. El principal freno a la innovacin ha sido hasta ahora el pequeo nmero de inventores potenciales, y la obvia aceptacin y valoracin de quienes se merecen un espacio bien ganado como tales. La evaluacin comercial de una innovacin requiere conocimientos, criterios muy amplios de formacin acadmica, costumbres de uso, valoracin de lo propio, objetividad, por citar algunos aspectos. La experiencia de mercado har que la innovacin sea rentable y atractiva. Resumen En Ecuador y en el mundo existe un dficit permanente de vivienda, aqu se concentrar la demanda para el proyecto, que segn estimaciones del MIDUVI sobrepasa el milln de soluciones habitacionales. En Ecuador, el proceso de construccin de una vivienda utiliza gran cantidad de mano de obra que hoy en da al estar la economa dolarizada se vuelve un recurso costoso, recurso que tiene poca especializacin; por otra parte, el tiempo de construccin aproximado es de 1 ao calendario para edificar una vivienda tipo, con los consiguientes atrasos y sobre-costos. El Sistema Multiespacio 2000, al ser un sistema estandarizado, modulado y racionalizado, permitir reducir el tiempo de construccin por ejemplo de 1 ao a 3 meses o menos y por consecuencia el costo bajar considerablemente en una vivienda de 150m2. En breves lneas, las conclusiones y lecciones aprendidas sobre innovacin, y una reflexin sobre la actitud innovadora. MULTIESPACIO 2000 ha sido un muy importante reto para m, requiriendo una enorme inversin econmica, investigacin en el desarrollo arquitectnico, constructivo, de ingeniera de produccin, diseo, creacin de prototipos, marketing, etc. El producto final, Multiespacio 2000: La Casa que Crece es el resultado de conocimientos, experiencia prctica y una genuina preocupacin del bienestar social. Innovar o salir es un dilema que debe ser resuelto y, los emprendedores/innovadores, deben tomar en cuenta que con una actitud perseverante, con investigacin constante, transformando la informacin en conocimientos aplicados a un proceso, producto o servicio, es as como la ciencia, la tecnologa, la innovacin y el desarrollo llegan a ser de beneficio social.
