Governor Steve Beshear filled vacancies on nine state university boards and the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education which is studying how to make college more affordable.

Appointments were made to the following colleges:

• Eastern Kentucky University
• Northern Kentucky University
• Morehead State University
• Western Kentucky University
• University of Louisville
• Kentucky State University
• Kentucky Community and Technical College System
