CODE OF CONDUCT
We, the representatives o the Soldiers and amilies o those honorable men and womeno the 9th & 10th Cavalry, who suered through great adversity and blatant racismmust conduct ourselves with the same dignity, courage and moral ber as the men and women we are portraying. American citizens, especially our youth, need to understand and appreciate the caliber o the Black men and women that served, ought, bled and died or our country. We must enhance their knowledge with the true his-tory o America’s western rontier. Our mission is to lead by example and impart the true strength and charac-ter o the Bualo Soldiers and their importance to this great nation.Thereore all who seek an active membership role in the Los Banos Bualo Soldiers 9th & 10th Cavalry Associa-tion must agree to adhere to this Code o Conduct.No child under the age o 18 will be allowed to participate in any Association unction unless a signed Parental Consent orm has been obtained rom their Parent or Legal Guardian. As a Bualo Soldier, I will set a good example by keeping mysel neatly dressed and presentable. This applieswhen I am in or out o Uniorm. As a Bualo Soldier, I will attend all scheduled meetings and participate as required in cooperation with other unit soldiers. As a Bualo Soldier, I understand that the purchase, possession, or consumption o alcoholic beverages or il-legal drugs by any soldier/member is prohibited during an event or while in Uniorm This standard shall apply to all participants—both youth and adults.Serious and/or repetitive behavior violations by youth, including use o tobacco, cheating, stealing, dishon-esty, swearing, ghting, and cursing, may result in expulsion rom the Bualo Soldiers Association or in seriousdisciplinary action and loss o privileges.Disruptive, divisive or mean spirited behavior will not be tolerated by any member.No member shall attempt to represent themselves as a decision maker or spokesperson or the organizationwithout the express permission o the Board o Directors.
The Los Banos Bualo Soldiers 9th and 10th Calvary Association Board o Directors will make the ultimate de-cisions as to disciplinary actions or expulsion rom the organization. The Board o Directors must be contacted or the expulsion procedure to be invoked. There are no exceptions. As a Bualo Soldier, I understand that gambling o any orm is prohibited while in uniorm or during an event. As a Bualo Soldier, I understand that possession o lasers o any type, concealed illegal weapons and posses-sion or detonation o reworks or other explosive devices is prohibited. As a Bualo Soldier, I will demonstrate respect or the Unit and Bualo Soldiers property and I will be person-ally responsible or any loss, breakage, or vandalism o property as a result o my actions or that o my childrenor guests.The Los Banos Bualo Soldiers 9th and 10th Calvary Association Board o Directors will not be responsible or loss, breakage, or thet o personal items. As a Bualo Soldier I will label all my personal items and check itemso value at the direction o unit soldiers. Thet will be grounds or expulsion and criminal prosecution.While participating in ceremonies and other activities as a Bualo Soldier I will obey the saety rules and in-structions o all supervisors and sta soldiers. Adult soldiers and youth leader soldiers must instruct youth to avoid conrontation with groups, demonstra-tors, or hecklers and must assume a passive reaction to name-calling rom individuals or groups. Units or groups must be removed rom the area o potential confict immediately.Serious violation o this code may result in expulsion rom the Los Banos Bualo Soldiers 9th and 10th Calvary Association at the participant’s own expense.
