The feathers from the Condor wings are 5 generations old. This was the last time they will be usedin the dance as their mission has been fulfilled. They have come to North American and met their "cousins". This was a very moving day on Hopi/Navajo Land. Everyone felt the emotion and howspecial the moment was.The wind was blowing the sand around all day. We were all covered up to try and keep the sand outof our eyes and mouth. Even though the conditions were harsh, it was a beautiful day.Hopi Song part 1 Hopi Song part 2Hopi Song part 3 Hopi Song part 4 Condor DanceThe Sayaka Cultural Group, descendants from the Sayaka Inka village, brought the Condor Danceto unify with the Eagle in the North. They traveled from the highest lake in the world, (sacred LakeTiticaca in Puno,Peru) to come to The Gathering of Ancestors and share their sacred dance andmusic. This fulfilled a 500 year old prophecy handed down by their ancestors that the time wouldcome when the Eagle and Condor would reunite. The mission of these Condor wings, which are 5generations old, was finally accomplished. This was the last time they will be used in the Condor dance. They would be retired to the River of The Condor upon returning to Peru.Condor Dance Part 1Condor Dance Part 2Condor Dance Part 3Condor Dance Part 4
