EXPECTED COMPETENCIES OF GRADUATED STUDENTS
>Ability to create designs integrating a broad range of requirements.>Competence in producing proposals for Urban Renewal and Building Rehabilitation.>Coordinating and participating in architectural research projects. >Development of interpretive skills in Architectural History, Theory of Architecture, therelated arts and a stylistic critique of technology.>Ability to cross interrogate Urban Planning and Architectural Design propositions and anability to sychronise planning strategies. >Comprehension of the relationship between society and built fabric, built fabric and theenvironment, an understanding of spatial planning and human requirements. >Understanding of architecture as a profession and its role in society, considering socialfactors and corresponding issues related to preliminary planning strategy. >Phrasing of written documentation, knowledge of research methods used for planning. >Knowledge of current construction materials. >Understanding of the interconnection of structure, building science and function; the abilityto create conditions and spaces which are healthy, comfortable, and adequately protectagainst environmental effects. >Traditional visualisation skills, architecture drawing, modelling, presentation - ascommunication skills. >Basic knowledge of hardware and software, usage of computer and engineering
programmes (minimum of prociency in at least one CAD software).
>Basic communication knowledge including understanding of technical documentation inEnglish. >Understanding of new technologies, constructions, products.

During Complex Planning and Diploma Work students can study in depth a specic area of
architecture whilst independently working on a theme of their choice. Our educationalprogram ensures that graduated students can participate in the majority of Postgraduateprogrammes in other Hungarian and European institutions.The most talented students can receive scholarships and opportunities for further studyoutside of Hungary due to the international connections maintained by the Faculty.more info
