Love this! Thanks so much for sharing. Simple, straight forward, easy to understand for us newbies to the "sharing" world.

Craniocean: Good question. If you upload work you own the copyright to, but you want people to be able to legally share the work with others, you can apply one of these licenses.

How would anyone who uploads original work to Scribd benefit, JG, when already under copyright

sory i want to suscribds to me plz

I keep coming back to this document. I didn't want to love it at first, because I didn't think about it, but it's great. Keep it simple, stupid. Love it!

Nice. Thanks for the post. It's a great intro to Creative Commons for newbies and oldbies alike.

As an old hand at writing, I learned something new and valuable. This is what Scribd is all about. Thanks for including this great piece.

I, too, have been writing and publishing for years and yet I found "Creative Commons Spectrum of Rights" more clear and understandable than other documents I've read on publishing rights and licenses. Thanks for pointing out this enjoyable and informative document!

Anyone who uploads original work to Scribd would benefit from this.
