been able to raise the funds to bringover three legends. Tommy Langley, commentator on Chelsea Radio and TVand also a celebrity podcast guest, played back in the day and did a fine jobscoring goals for us! Tommy is not just asnappy dresser and very knowledgeableabout the game, he is a laugh. One of the nicest people I know, and always hastime to tell a story.Clive Walker was going to accompanyTommy, but at the last minute had anemergency and though he tried to makeroom to be here, it was not possible. Hesends his deepest regrets and vows hewill be here next summer tour, as he isgutted to not join us in a weeklongChelsea-fest. Stepping into the breachas he has done in his Chelsea past, convincing his wife to let him have apass on her cousin’s wedding, is thevery tall Steve “Jock” Finnieston. Jockdidn’t have a long career at Chelsea butsigned on as a school boy, came upthrough the academy with that group of Tommy, Clive, Butch and the rest andwent on to score 24 goals in the 76/77season to make sure we were promotedfrom the second division to the first. Jock left the game early due to injury, but still manages to play for the OldBoys and stays involved with his oldteammates and the club. He is reallylooking forward to this and can’t believeanyone over here will remember him.Now I know that is not true, so be sureto tell him that! He loves to tell a storyas well and is a great guy! Then there is our third legend, NeilBarnett. I have known Neil for a fewyears now, and he has always had loadsof time for me and for all of ussupporters. He has a Chelsea memorybetter than anyone’s (well maybe exceptfor Tel’s) and has more stories andknows more players (past and present)than anyone. He is a great friend todrink with, listen to, and have a laughwith. I am sure you will enjoy these boys'company and I hope you get to knowthem as well as I have over the lastyears. They are certainly thrilled to becoming. Tommy will have to missSeattle, but they will be with us at everyevent and for every game, so don’t beshy and have a blast!

Postcript One – Coming out of thestadium, I bumped into a lad with aLondon accent who I would later becomegood friends with…Tuna.

Postscript Two – I have photos of thatChelsea section and have sinceexamined them and been able to identifymany people who, through subsequenttrips, I have become friends with…Andy,Beth, Mike, Steve, Chopper to name buta few. On this trip, we didn’t reallyintegrate with any people who I nowclass as my friends from “across thepond” but over the past four years, myextended Chelsea Family has grownincredibly. And it’s all down to my greataunt Julie. I often think of her and thankher for allowing my Chelsea World totake a leap into another dimension.

Postscript Three – In September 2004, Ireceived an envelope containing threesigned 8 by 10 signed John Terryphotographs, the envelope addressed tome in his own hand. He had obviouslyremembered us from Pittsburgh and hadsent them through for Roma, Vanessaand Jenny. What a gentleman.

Postscript Four – although we have“moved on”, I am still friendly withRoma…after Pittsburgh 2004, the girlshave been on all subsequent US Toursand hope to meet up with us for at leastone game this summer.
