http://z13.invisionfree.com/The_First_Expedition/index.php?showtopic=550 I decided to gather up all the known info on the course of the Horus Heresy rele ases and compile it for everyone here. This way all the rumours can be kept in o ne nice, neat list for people to look at and examine. Starting out with the next HH Book: The Horus Heresy, Book II: Massacre is focused on the first part of the drop sit e massacre on Isstvan 5. (The initial landings of the starting three Legions, th e loyalist attack on the dug in traitor forces, the loyalist retreat back to the landing zones and the newly landed legion forces, the betrayal and the loyalist s getting hammered). The legions featured in Massacre are: -the -the -the -the Night Lords Salamanders Iron Hands Word Bearers

Each Legion will receive their Primarch, 2-3 special characters, 2 'Legion Exclu sive' units and 'Legion Exclusive' wargear and a Rite of War each. The Night Lords are getting a 'Proto-Raptor' jump assault unit and a 'terror' fo cused unit. The Salamanders will receive Pyre Guard Terminators (apparently the only unit in the Horus Heresy to have storm shields) and the Pyroclasts, a flamer focused in fantry unit which serve as Destroyers to the Salamanders Legion. Apparently a pl aytester told Alan Bligh that the Pyre Guard were the "unit most made of win eve r." The Iron Hands will have a bionic heavy breacher squad called the Medusan Immort als, and the Gorgon Terminators, which include the Morlocks as an option. Word Bearers are receiving the 'Circle of Ashes'; which are a flame focused dest royer unit tasked with locating and destroying a planet's holy places, libraries and sense of culture and identity. And they will also gain the Gal Vorbak, the prototype possessed Marines. Mechanicum will gain a small number of new units. One new unit for Legio Cyberne tica (The Castellax), with other un-announced units hinted at.

The Legions from Betrayal will all receive an additional 'Legion Exclusive' unit . These will be the Catulan Reavers for the Sons of Horus, Phoenix Guard Termina tors and Kakaphoni for the Emperor s Children, Devourers for the World Eaters and as yet unknown unit for the Death Guard. Book three, tentatively titled Extermination covers the second part of the Isstv an 5 campaign and the Battle of Phall. The book will contain: -The -The -The -The Raven Guard Alpha Legion Iron Warriors Imperial Fists

These legions will also receive their Primarch, 2-3 special characters each, 2 ' legion exclusive' units and additional wargear and rites of war exclusive to the ir legion. Iron Warriors are unlikely to get the Castellan Rhino, however there has been no thing on them getting or not getting the Thunderstrike, so we may be lucky there . For the Mechanicum, it is unknown whether they are in Extermination, but it is l ikely that the Mechanicum will feature in most if not all of the books. Books four, five, and six will cover the events at Prospero, Calth and Signus ime. Although the order for these is not set in stone, it seems that Prospero ll almost certainly come first. These books will also see the introduction of on-astartes' forces to the mix. (e.g. loyal/traitor Imperial Army, Daemons at gnus). Pr wi 'n Si

Prospero will see the Legio Custodes and the Sisters of Silence, and possibly th e Prospero Spireguard (but that is merely a rumour). Calth will have the mainline Imperial Army. Alan Bligh stated that there would b e several different Imperial Army lists covered throughout the books, due to the wide variety. So an Airborne list (the Uralian Stormlords and the like) a Tank list (Zanzibari Hort etc) Signus will have new Daemons. This will simply be an expansion to the present Da emons codex, with some new units and characters like Ka Band ha and additions to alt erations to existing units (e.g. unit size). Simon Egan apparently already has s ome ideas for the Sanguinius model, and he's looking forward to doing him. (As h e loves sculpting feathers apparently.) Daemons and Imperial Army will apparently not receive full new model ranges, and will rely on the GW and existing FW ranges for basics. Only new units will get new models. Which is surprising, as the Imperial Army in particular will be very different from the Imperial Guard, and I d like to see models for the Ultramar Re giments like the Neride and Numinus Regiments among others. Sadly the Dark Angels and White Scars will be waiting until book 7 if not longer , which is depressing for those players. As for the Primarch/Special Character release list, Forge World is planning to r elease Ferrus Manus next, with advanced sales at games day. The model of Ferrus Manus is sitting in Simon Egan's fridge at home (sounds creepy). An Erebus/Kor P haeron double kit will come out shortly after, and then it will be Horus with Mo rtarion after him. 3 people are now working on the HH 'Characters Series', so re leases of primarchs and special characters should start to speed up.

Legions may receive their shoulderpads/vehicle doors/transfers and brass etch sh eets before their books are released or even worked on. This is to allow players to start collecting their legions early and then simply adding their special un its and characters when their book arrives. Legions will continue to receive additional new units and characters with later appearances, So that a player whose legion is done early is not left out until t he end. However all Legions will receive the same amount of attention in total.
