Firstly, I got an A4 sized blank canvas, and began with makingsome tabs along the side. The tabs that I used to make mymagazine included a background tab, title and photographtab. These ensured that I can put the right objects in the rightsection, so nothing gets messed up in the creating process.Secondly, I put my background into the canvas, by clicking onthe background tab and pasting.
I then took my desired front cover image, and got ridof my background temporally so that I could focus oncropping the background out of the image. I did thisby clicking on the eye icon next to the backgroundtab. After doing this, using the rubber tool, decreasingits size for the smaller areas, I used the blurring tool to
soften the edges, so it doesn’t look so harsh, when I
placed it back onto the background.I put the image back onto the background by clickingthe eye icon again. This enabled me to see my mainimage on its background, and also to make any edgesoftening adjustments if I need to.
Next, I took my desired font from a website called
‘Dafont’ and pasted it into Photoshop. I clicked the eye
icon on the background and the photo image, so thatnothing is in the way when I cropped the whitebackground from the title. To do this, I went to the toolbar on the left hand side, and used the magneticcropping tool. This enabled me to get right to the edgeof the lettering, and cut out the sections of white thatwas in-between the lettering. After doing so, Iunclicked the eyes to reveal the background and mainimage.
