[edit]
Release powerbomb
A variation of the powerbomb where the opponent is lifted into the air, and thendropped without any extra force exerted for a pinfall attempt. Sometimes the wrestler

steps back while releasing the opponent, which is known as a sheer drop powerbombdue to the high elevation, or the opponent would be thrown horizontally away fromthe wrestler rather than merely dropped.
[edit]
Rope aided powerbomb
The wrestler takes hold of an opponent, who is lying on the mat, by their legs. Theopponent then grabs hold of one of the ropes with both hands as the wrestler pullsthem backwards, lifting them off the mat. At this point the opponent releases theirgrip on the rope and is brought down to the mat.
[edit]
Corner sitout powerbomb
The opponent begins sitting in the corner of the ring and facing outwards, whileholding on to the ring ropes. The wrestler takes hold of the opponent by the legs andpulls them upwards and backwards with a twist, falling into a sitting position as theydo so. The move ends with the opponent's back on the ground and their legs over theshoulders of the wrestler, placing the opponent in a pinning predicament.
[edit]
Scoop lift powerbomb
In this variation of a powerbomb an opponent is firstscooped so they are horizontal across an attacking wrestler's chest. The wrestler then pushes the opponent up andturns them, so that they are sitting on the shoulders of the wrestler, before thenslamming them down in a powerbomb motion. A seated version is also possible.

Also called a sitdown powerbomb, this is any powerbomb in which the wrestler dropsinto a sitting position as they slam their opponent down to the mat. This maneuvercan be done with many variations of the powerbomb. The most common sitoutvariation is that of a standard powerbomb, in which the opponent is placed in astanding neck scissors, and then lifted up on the wrestler's shoulders. At this point, the wrestler slams the opponent down, and at the same time falls to a sittingposition.A
powerbomb
is aprofessional wrestling throwin which an opponent is lifted up (usually so that they are sitting on the wrestler's shoulders) and then slammed back-first down to the mat.
The standard powerbomb sees an opponent first placed in astanding headscissors position (bent forward with their head placed between theattacking wrestler's thighs). He is then lifted up on the wrestler's shoulders andslammed down back-first to the mat.

The hold begins with the opponent supine on the mat with the applying wrestlerstepping between the opponent's legs with his/her left leg and wraps the opponent'slegs at shin level around that leg. If the applier decides to cross the opponent's legsaround his right leg, he has to cross the opponent's right leg over their left, or,otherwise, he has to cross his opponent's left leg over their right. Holding theopponent's legs in place, the wrestler then grabs the opponent's leg which he hascrossed over the other and steps over him, flipping him over into a prone positionbefore leaning back to compress his lower back.
Variations
Through the many methods of performing the Sharpshooter (other than the usualmethod), it has been demonstrated that the Sharpshooter can be performed fromvirtually anywhere.
