This LL.M. thesis (University of Cape Town) explores different ways of dealing with transnational corporations' violations of human rights: home and host state responsibility, criminal responsibility of CEOs, third state responsibility, coercive trade measures under art. XX GATT, applicability of consumer protection law and rules of fair competition, and--as an emphasis--the civil liability of the transnational corporation.
