The fundamental goals of business never change. Theability to serve customers better. To stand out abovethe competition. To lower costs and raise productivity. To be profitable. Now more than ever, a company’s IT infrastructureforms the foundation for the difference betweenleadership and mediocrity. But too often, thetechnology that should accelerate success simply getsin the way. The businesses that use IT most effectivelyin their business often spend far less on infrastructurethan their competitors. Why is that? The answer isbecause they get more value out of what they spend. These leaders have adaptive infrastructures that HPdescribes as “best-run.” Meaning they run their IT assetsand organizations with high levels of productivity, atlow operational costs, high utilization and extremeflexibility—all aimed at delivering superior servicequality to their users.Unfortunately, the only thing keeping the rest of theworld from having a best-run adaptive infrastructure isthat too many continue to build IT with the same staticand hardwired components that create a racked andstacked model of inefficiency. In almost all cases, thecommon limitations of an infrastructure trace back tothe way it’s built, the silos it creates and the inefficientmanagement processes behind it.Enter the next-generation HP BladeSystem c-Class.The new HP BladeSystem is a modular evolution oftoday’s racked, stacked and wired infrastructure. Itconsolidates from the start with the essential elements ofa modern datacenter—power, cooling, management, connectivity, redundancy, security—into a modular,self-tuning unit wrapped with intelligence. It’sexpandable with a variety of server, storage andinterconnect choices to build solutions for any business. With unique innovations built-in, HP BladeSystemdelivers more value back to your business and givesyou the freedom to focus on what matters most so youcan take on the increasing demand for IT services withconfidence.

“Cerner faced many of the same datacenter challenges day-to-day as othercompanies. We were running out of floor space but increasing our demandfor compute capabilities at the same time. Once we realized the bottom linebenefits of the new HP BladeSystem c-Class infrastructure compared to thecosts of simply buying more and more rack-mount servers, it became clearwhat the future direction would be. We anticipate the cost saving of theblade-based infrastructure to help us improve the business results whileallowing us to manage growth more effectively.
