An excellent document by Professor Rao about the basics of Mechatronics. I have a book than Mr. Rao wrote, "Practical Eddy Currrent Testing", which deals with non-destructive testing in metal parts using eddy currents. Think about the latest airplane accidents: such accidents, if they are due to metal failure, can be readily detected usig these methods. Professor Rao has a website also explaining these methods.
