Introduction
This describes how to install and uninstall the driver usbocs 3.x.x on windows XP. This driver manages the ID-One Token. There are two ways to install this driver: - Using Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.msi that we called automatic installation - Using Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.exe that we called script installation

Automatic installation using Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.msi


This is the easiest way to install the driver. Be careful, you should be member of administrators group to be able to install the driver. Before launching a new installation you must uninstall all previous version of the driver.

Installation
Run Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.msi and follow the instructions. Now you can connect your ID-One Token. If you want to check the driver installation, open the windows device manager (Start\Settings\Control Panel\System Properties\Hardware\Device Manager), you should have the following window with class On Chip Security USB Driver with On Chip Security USB driver.

Warning:
To access Id One Token using any application, Windows Smart Card service (PCSC) should be started. To start the service, launch windows run console (start->run), execute

Uninstallation
There are two ways to uninstall the driver: - Run Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.msi again and choose remove - Use windows add or remove program (Start\Settings\Control Panel\Add or Remove Programs) and remove Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x

Script installation using Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.exe


Be careful, you should be member of administrators group to be able to install the driver. Before launching a new installation you must uninstall all previous version of the driver.

Installation
Run Id-One Token Driver 3.x.x.exe This is an auto-extractive zip archive. You have to choose where to decompress the archive. In the decompressed folder you find these files: - usbocs3.sys : driver file - usbocs3.inf: driver description file - usbocs3.cat: the certification file for the driver - tokenclass.dll: class installer for the driver - WdfCoInstaller01009.dll: microsoft KMDF framework installer used by the driver

SetupUsbocs3x.exe: installation program for the driver Remove.bat: uninstallation script for the driver DIFxAPI.dll: Microsoft driver installation framework used by the driver installation program

To install the driver, run setupUsbocs3x.exe Now you can connect your ID-One Token. The token is ready to use. If you want to check the installation, open the windows device manager (Start\Settings\Control Panel\System Properties\Hardware\Device Manager) and you should have the following window with class On Chip Security USB Driver with On Chip Security USB driver.
