English Mindset Coaching Program -
Motivating Students to LearnEnglish with Mindset Coaching
Background:
People who speak English in the community that does not use English aroundwill feel awkward, shy or discourage by the responds gained. Some peopleeven think that someone who speaks English with them is arrogant. It isimportant to reduce that kind of feeling to keep the motivation in learningEnglish.
Program Description:
English Mindset Coaching Program is a set of activities conducted on amodule of assignments to change the feeling of participants as if to be in anEnglish speaking society through artificial ways. Several selected activitiesare designed to put English atmosphere mindset in their mind. The programduration is 3 months/12 meeting sessions. It is a group of 8 students.Participants are needed to spare at least 2 hours per week for the program.For example: Every Saturday from 1 PM until 3 PM. This program is notdesigned to teach English but to improve motivation owned by participantsby learning it on various ways.
Requirements:

Participant need to know the basic of English grammar and basicEnglish vocabularies
•
Participants need to know some question phrases to ask for translationsuch as:
•
“How do you say it in English?”, “What does it mean?”, “Please paraphrase it! I don’t understand.”What should I say If I want to dosomething.” and so on.
•
Participants need to prepare a book note and a pen
•
Participants need to willingly spare 2 hours a week and 30-60 minutesto do self learning assignments and follow all rules for the programsuccess.
•
Participants need to spare Rp1000 once a week for publication andmaterial. Additional fees are applied for additional activities andtransportation.

Having interview with people on Facebook/MIRC/YM and get thechatting transcript

Doing telephone calling via Skype/Yahoo Messenger (using English of course)

Getting some information about something from sources alreadydetermined from people/Internet/Library14.Visiting English Environment

Having English Debate

Outdoor Working group in an Educational atmosphere for example:UKSW’s library
