You will have noticed that the ‘Crusader’ magazine has not arrived andthat is because we have not been able to raise sufficient funds to coverproduction and postal costs. It is only available as a ‘virtual’ magazineon the Internet but not in hard copy. I was thinking, perhaps you couldhelp your friends at the Sanctuary to remedy that problem? All we needis for our membership to donate a little and often and we can startpublishing the ‘Crusader’ magazine once more. Please will you help? “A couple weeks ago, I asked for prayer for my friend R. N.’s mom,Betty. She had been found with a bunch of tumours in the neck downinto the chest cavity. The hospital in East Texas was not able to handlethis and sent her down to MD Anderson.Well, they got the results back from MD Anderson today. They foundthat the tumours are all benign!!!!! They said that the East TexasHospital must have misread the biopsy because there was no evidenceof cancer at all; just the growths which do need to come out. Misread thebiopsy???? How about the power of prayer?!!!! Betty is now working toschedule the surgery to remove the growths... But you know what? Godcan remove them Himself too!I do not know why in some cases prayer really changes the outcomeand other times it does not. Bit I sincerely believe that this time prayermade the difference!Thanks,B.” – Email received 01.06.09

he Anchor of My Life

To be cast adrift in a sea without an anchor must be a major worry toany seafarer, and in just the same respect, many of us are in a similarposition, metaphorically speaking. We have lacked support and a pointof contact and never realised it until things started to go wrong. Then westart to search for answers. We start to look for a port to shield us fromlife’s storms and an anchor to prevent us from drifting in an ocean ofproblems. Some find the harbour quickly whilst others take considerablylonger.Let’s ask the Father to step in when things go wrong because He willoffer His protection to each and every one of us, when we ask! We arebeloved of the Father, He created us and it is He that cares for us.Remember Jesus when His disciples sailed on the Sea of Galilee, thatmust have been initially very worrying for the crew.
“But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them ,walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered Him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And He said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him , O thou of little faith , wherefore didst thou doubt? And when the were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” (Matthew Ch.14 vs: 24-32.)
