Dear Friend,

In the fall of 2001 I was told that I may never walk again. I am so grateful for the
wonderful doctors and technology that have given me my life back. Others are not as
fortunate. After my injury I researched different charities dedicated to spinal cord
awareness. As an avid surfer, I was particularly interested in the Life Rolls On
Foundation (www.liferollson.org). Life Rolls On (LRO) is a non-profit 501(c)3
Foundation that exists to be a grassroots resource and an advocate on behalf of young
people who have sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI). Their tagline, “Instilling in people
that life with SCI does indeed roll on.”

In mid-July of 2008, Steve Coon and I headed out to Malibu, California to participate in
the 10th annual golf tournament for the Life Rolls On Foundation. We were joined by
two friends from the West Coast and finished as the 1st place Net Team. Since the
inaugural East Coast LRO Golf Tournament in September of 2006, we have raised over
$60,000 for the organization. This year, Life Rolls On hosted the first “They Will Surf
Again” Program in New Jersey in late June. TWSA connects dozens of volunteers, with
a handful of injured surfers, together for a day of excitement, joy, and best of all, surf!
We have also recently received approval for warning signs to be placed at beach
entrances in the City of Cape May to make beach goers aware of the dangerous
shorebreak as the injuries continue to occur at an alarming rate. My only expectation
this year is that our 3rd annual event is more successful and better attended than the first
two years. In an effort to attract more golfers and sponsors, we decided to keep all entry
fees and sponsor packages at the original costs of the 1st year’s event.

I hope that you are able to help us by sponsoring a hole, making a donation, or by
participating in the golf tournament. Thank you for your continued support and I look
forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Chad de Satnick
