Png is a raster whichmeans the rectangular area of a display screen actually being used to display images. The raster isslightly smaller than the physical dimensions of the display screen, Png supports high level losslesscompression and transparency but th

BMP.
BMP; windows bitmap is a raster Used as a standard bitmap storage format in the MicrosoftWindows environment. Although it is based on Windows internal bitmap data structures, it issupported by many non-Windows and non-PC applications. BMP is compatible with existingwindows programs but the down side is that it only supports very large files only used by windowscomputer.
JPG.
JPG; joint photographic experts groups is both a raster and a vector what is a JPG file? The .jpg fileextension is assigned to image files. Many photographs and Internet graphics are stored in the JPGfile format. JPG files are commonly referred to as JPEG images. JPEG is the acronym for JointPhotographic Experts Group. Many bitmap images are saved in .jpg format in order to compress thefiles. This makes it easier to transfer or download the files and use them on the Web.
CGM.
CGM; Computer Graphics Metafile is a free and open international standard file format for 2D vectorgraphics, raster graphics, and text some advantages is that it is a free file format which works onmany systems but in some programs CGM needs a filter to convert it for example working withcompanies abroad.
GIF.
 
GIF; files are a format commonly used for graphics presented on websites. GIFs can contain amaximum of 256 colours, and are therefore best for images that contain simple shapes, a limitedcolour palette, text and other elements as opposed to photos. GIF stands for Graphics InterchangeFormat. It is also a raster and it is good because lossless compression and transparency aresupported but lossless compression and transparency are limited and inferior to other formats.
PDF.
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format that has captured all the elements of a printeddocument as an electronic image that you can view, navigate, print, or forward to someone else.PDF files are created using Adobe Acrobat, Acrobat Capture, or similar products. It is also a rasterand vector file, it can be opened on any system, as it does not run in a specific program but it cannotmanipulate images once they are saved to this format.
PSD.
PSD file is a layered image file used in Adobe Photoshop. PSD, which stands for PhotoshopDocument, is the default format that Photoshop uses for saving data. PSD is a proprietary file that
allows the user to work with the images’ individual layers even after the file has been saved.
It is araster file it allows images to be stored in layers PSD files can be imported to other softwareprograms but PSD does not work with all programs.
TIF.
Tif is an image format file for high-quality graphics. TIF files are also called .TIFF, which stands for
“Tagged Image Format File.” TIF files were
created in the 1986 as a file format for scanned images inan attempt to get all companies to use one standard file format instead of multiple. It is a raster it isoften used when scanning, both mac and computers support it but tiff is not supported by webbrowsers does not compress automatically so it creates a large file.
