Description

The Manu Smriti is the heart of Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism). It is known as the Manava Dharma Shastra and is the oldest treatise on social and religious conduct of the occupants of Bharatavarsha. All Hindu religious practices- religious, social etc., are based on the injunctions of the Smriti. This is a work par excellence, for those who can look at it with a liberal mind. The work is well organised and the principles it expounds are universal in their nature. It is to be noted that Manu Smriti is not a book of economics or a civil code. It is a scientific work.
