LCP is a thermoplastic fibre with exceptionalstrength and rigidity (five times that of steel), andabout 15 times the fatigue resistance of aramid. Verygood impact resistance.It doesn't absorb moisture, has very low stretch, itdoesn't creep like UHMW-PE fibre, and hasexcellent abrasion, wear, and chemical resistance. Itshigh melting-point (320 C) allows the retention ofthese properties over broad ranges of temperatures.It is suitable for industrial, electronic, and aerospaceapplications, as well as for ropes, and sportequipment.
