And God said, "This is thesign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature withyou, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and itwill be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant betweenme and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become aflood to destroy all life.

The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your peopleand your father's household and go to the land I will show you. "I will make you into agreat nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

When his master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD gave himsuccess in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything heowned. From the time he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned,the LORD blessed the household of the Egyptian because of Joseph. The blessing of theLORD was on everything Potiphar had, both in the house and in the field.

She saw the basket among the reeds and sent her slave girl to get it.She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. "This is oneof the Hebrew babies," she said. Then his sister asked Pharaoh's daughter, "Shall I goand get one of the Hebrew women to nurse the baby for you?" "Yes, go," she answered.And the girl went and got the baby's mother. Pharaoh's daughter said to her, "Take this baby and nurse him for me, and I will pay you." So the woman took the baby and nursedhim. When the child grew older, she took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son. She named him Moses, saying, "I drew him out of the water."

And Moses said, "Here I am." "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Then he said, "I amthe God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." Atthis, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

God said to Moses, "I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AMhas sent me to you.' This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be rememberedfrom generation to generation.
