Ellie Goulding - Lights

Front Cover
Conventionally, the front cover of a digipak

of the Pop genre will consist of an image of the artist and their name as well as the album name. some other genres may use artwork or scenery as the main image, however this is not conventional for the Pop genre. The covers are usually very simple and reflect the tone of the album itself. The cover also sets the theme for the rest of the digipak as the theme will be continued throughout. For my own digipak, the front cover will be similar to Ellie Gouldings. There will be an image of my protagonist looking very ethereal and whimsical to reflect the album.

Inside
The inside pages of a digipak usually consist of the CD and either an image or letter. However some Digipaks have thin booklets inside them as well. The booklet may consist of production information, images of the artist, a letter thanking those involved, a letter to the fans, or more conventionally, the lyrics to each song on the album. I have decided that for my digipak I will have a letter thanking all those involved such as the backup-singers, guitarist etc as this will make the album seem more authentic. I might also include a booklet inside which will consist of pages of the lyrics to the songs on the album, as well as some images of the artist herself.

Back cover
As seen by the image, it is

conventional for Digipaks in the Pop genre to just consist of the track list on the back cover. Usually the track list will be in the centre of the page however some may place the list in different positions in order to break the conventions and seem unique compared to other Digipaks of that genre. In addition, it is clearly visible that there is a sense of continuity throughout the digipak which is vital as it helps the audience to understand the type of music in the album.
