Jefferson outdoor amphitheatre in Lake Hopatcong. Tickets: $20 adults, $10 seniors (60+), $10 children (-15), FREE children through age 7 with ticket-holding parent/guardian. “Reflections: Ireland in Song and Story” will be performed by Irish tenor Timothy Liam Smith and the Peter Smith Irish Dancers on Saturday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m. (rain date July 19).
Irish culture is justifiably famous for its music. Tim Smith is an outstanding tenor, but there’s more to his show than music. He adds Irish poetry, story- telling, and humor to create an unforgettable evening of laughter – and maybe even a few tears.
The Peter Smith Irish Dancers have won multi- ple world, all-Ireland, North American, and region- al championship titles. They have performed in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, Dancing on Dangerous Ground, and Pirate Queen at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Town Hall Theater in New York, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and the PNC Center. Peter Smith, who has dedicated his life to the craft and development of Irish dancing, was the first American to be elect- ed president of the Irish Dancing Commission based in Dublin.
The artists’ combined program will inspire a deep appreciation of Irish culture in the beautiful outdoor lakefront amphitheatre at Camp Jefferson. Seating options include traditional benches, stadium seats with backs, space for personal lawn chairs, and a wooden deck for wheelchairs.
