Welcome!
My Dear Friends,On behalf of the Community of St. Nicholas GreekOrthodox Church, I welcome all of you to this wonderful GreekFestival 2009.The purpose of this festival is to expose our GreekOrthodox Religion and Hellenic Culture to those who knowlittle about us. Our church is not only our Spiritual Center, but our cultural and social center as well. We promote Greeklanguage, dance, cuisine, and other various aspects of Hellenism.Socially, we have dances, parties, “get-togethers” and othervarious family related gatherings. Most importantly, our focus is our Greek OrthodoxSpirituality. This includes: Our growing and vibrant SundaySchool, accredited Greek School program for children andadults, GOYA, JOY, Choir, Parish Council, our LadiesPhiloptochos Society (friends of the poor), St. Nicholas Elves,“Young at Heart Club,” College Connectors, AHEPA andDaughters of Penelope. As well as our outreach programssuch as Soup Kitchen, Global Relief Efforts, OrthodoxChristian Charities, Habitat for Humanity and local charitableorganizations, Hospital, Campus, Maritime, Police and FireService Ministries. Our St. Nicholas Community is one “Big Family” and thisweekend, you are part of it. So welcome home, enjoy, and thisweekend… Be Greek!Love in Christ,
