PROLOGUE

This story is based upon events that took place in central Florida, over the course of approximately two years. You are about to enter a community where corrupt law enforcement rules and a single family is subjected to terror, violence, lies, false arrest(s), governmental conspiracy and a cover-up at the hands of Florida Law Enforcement personnel. It begins innocently enough when Bob Sloan attempts to be a good neighbor to fellow ranchers in the small Florida town of Oxford. He spots a rustling and tries to stop it. When he and a neighbor are unable to catch the thieves they report the incident to the Sumter County, Sheriff’s department. Little did Sloan know that the actions of that early March morning would start a chain of events that would change his entire life…as well as the lives of his wife and children.
Corruption within the small Sheriff’s department spills over onto other municipal agencies. Greed and internal fighting among the primary conspirators eventually causes them to turn on one another in an all out effort to gain control. Through it all they underestimate Sloan’s strength and determination, incorrectly thinking they could also control him. Instead they find he’s not only relentless in pursuing his freedom and reputation, he’s also willing to get down and dirty when it becomes necessary to take the fight to them.
When the action starts, Sloan has a choice: allow the Sheriff and his department to continue their harassment of he and others or fight back and risk further problems…including murder…
