Hello! This is Brit http://james-holmes-files.tumblr.com I was asked if my Mystery Investigator only attends court when James family is there. After digging into my archives, I noticed he has been in court without them. The following information has lead me to believe Mr. Mystery is a Public Defender Investigator and does not work specifically for the Holmes family but he is their official escort during most of the hearings. If Jeremy Jojola says so, it must be true right?

Formal charges were filed against James during his second Court appearance on July 30, 2012. It was also our first really good look at the defense team. MI does come across as a lone wolf even though hes with the group. Notice hes not wearing a suit jacket and hes not carrying anything. And what is in his pocket?

James parents, Robert and Arlene Holmes, made their first public appearance on December 10, 2012. MI has accompanied them during most of the hearings ever since.

Arraignment March 12, 2013

Once again my favorite reporter, Jeremy Jojola, refers to him as a Public Defender Investigator.

On April 1, 2013, the prosecution announced they were seeking the death penalty against James. MI never left their side.

James mother was in Court on May 13, 2013 when he requested to change his plea to Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.

On June 4, 2013, the court accepted James plea of Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity. James parents were not in attendance that day, but if you look closely you will see Mr. Mystery sitting behind Tamara.
