Please rank what you believe are the most important priorities for K-12 education in this district. AFPis listing their top 3.
Note that Doug grouped this question and the above question into one based on district priorities.

What do you believe is the most important role a school board member should play in ensuring allstudents in the district receive the education they need and deserve?
A Board member's job needs to be to empower parents, students, teachers and school administrators tomake decisions. Finding the right decision maker and empowering them, particularly at the school level, will ensure that those who have the best information and are closest are decision makers.

If you have children who do or did attend schools in the district please list those schools. Please printor type your response.
Platte River Academy
Do you support the nearly one billion dollar tax increase on the ballot this year? Why or why not?
No. It is a bad policy and will hurt Douglas County. Our taxpayers would pay around $90 to $100 millionin new taxes and our students would receive from $40 to $50 million back. That is a bad deal.
Were you endorsed by the union?
No.
School Board Candidate Name: Jim Geddes

All play an important role in student achievement. It is up to the individual school community todetermine the rank of importance based upon their values

All of these play an important part in the success of the district. The current board has started the ballrolling on many of these reforms and I want to be part of that continuing effort.
