The book shows three very different young women, all friends, all trying to cope with love and relationships and all trying to build careers at a marketing company where they work. The tone is light, fun, entertaining and dead-on accurate in its depictions of office politics, dating pressures, struggles with self-esteem and relationship dynamics. It was a little scary how much I could relate to Rette, the over-weight and over-worked writer about to be married. Then there's Rette's sister Jen, the gorgeous life-of-the-party girl who's still very unhappy, and their friend Avery, who keeps looking for meaning and love, sometimes missing what's right in front of her. I really did enjoy the book. It's perfect summer reading.
